Outpost Defender by Chico State Game Studios

Brought to you by Team Sadalbari, a CSU, Chico class group in CAGD 377 - Mobile Game Design, Outpost Defender is a single player, first-person shooting game in the Tower Defense style. Stationed at a lonely outpost on sentry duty, the player is set upon by pirate raiders intent on getting through the perimeter to pillage and plunder. The player is the sole defender against the onslaught. Successfully repelling the invaders allows the player to be promoted and move to new locations, with more difficulty and new imagery.

Waves of enemy fighters, bombers, and Spacecraft carriers provide challenge and depth, while asteroid fields create a scenic, destructible nuisance, for both player and enemy alike. A built in radar system tells the player which direction to face in order to search out enemy ships, and gauges show the player hull strength and fire rate.

Featuring a full 360 degree spherical interaction, the player controls the directional facing of the gunport by moving their device. Due to this control mechanism, we recommend that the player sits in a swivel chair or stands up in order to have full mobility in game.
