Esso include il supporto al pad virtuale touchscreen, mappatura pulsanti hardware (Xperia Play, telefoni con tastiera o gamepad, esterni gamepad bluetooth o USB come WiiMote, Sixaxis, Xbox 360, Moga, Ipega) e con levette analogiche. ePSXe supporta OpenGL HD migliore grafica grazie al Plugin Peopsxgl, i trucchi così come i salvastato e Memcards sono compatibili con la versione PC. ePSXe include il supporto nativo per ARM e Intel Atom X86.
