With roots in Ancient Egypt and dating back to 7th century Africa, Mancala is regarded as one of the oldest strategy board games in existence. While it's a simple game to pick up and learn, and strategies can be varied and complex. Mancala is a strategy turn-based board game in which players move stones around a game board. Gameplay:

Developer Notes:

Summer Project 2019 - created exclusively using Android Studio, the Mancala app is the very first application I have programmed in full by myself. I learned how to use Android Studio and the Android API from scratch, wrote over 3,000 lines of code, and spent over 150 hours on this application. The AI, which I designed and implemented completely myself, is my proudest achievement of the project. Additionally, a lot of time was dedicated to building a complete multiplayer system in Java from scratch, but unfortunately I couldn't quite figure it out. I will be coming back around in Unity3D to build a full UI and multiplayer system for this game; be on the lookout:) I really hope everyone enjoys what I set out to accomplish. Thanks guys!
