One day, two boys came to propose. A person in Tan Vien mountain - the lord of the high mountains named Son Tinh. The man of the East Sea - the lord of the deep sea named Thuy Tinh. Both of them have talent. So the king set a condition, whoever brought the bride back first, the king gave her daughter in marriage. Son Tinh came first to bring Mi Nuong back, Thuy Tinh came later, angry and beat Son Tinh. Son Tinh won, Thuy Tinh had to withdraw, but every year he still raised water to fight Son Tinh.
