PLAYING RULES

GENERAL

The game screen of the application consists of two playing fields - the enemy and yours. Each field consists of 100 cells: 10 horizontally and 10 vertically. For convenience, cells are indicated horizontally by letters, and vertically by numbers, for example: A1, E7, J10.

The field of the enemy is hidden from you by the "fog of war." To see what is in the enemy's cage is possible only after entering it. At the end of the game you will see the enemy ships location. For the enemy, your field is also hidden by the "fog of war."


ADDITIONALLY

You can play as usual in the generally accepted "Sea battle" with the rules familiar to all of us since childhood. Or additionally include game modes: "Mines", "Volley", which allow you to use mines in the game and produce a volley.


SETTINGS

Set the desired parameters before starting the game:

- color scheme of the display of the game (light or dark),

- level of difficulty (easy, normal, hard or very hard),

- game mode (normal, using mines, using a volley),

- sound effects (on/off).

You can change the color scheme of the game and turn on/off the playback of sound effects at any time by interrupting the game, and then return to the game and continue it.


DEPLOYMENT OF SHIPS

To start the game you need to go to the "New game" screen and deploy your ships in your playing field. You can do it independently or press the button "Automatic deployment".

In total your fleet should include:

- one four-deck ship (aircraft carrier),

- two three-deck ships (cruisers),

- three double-deck ships (destroyers),

- four single-deck ships (small rocket ships).

Decks of ships can be located only in one line horizontally or vertically. Between the ships should be at least one cell distance. The ships shall not be connected by corners.

When the “Mines” game mode is on, when deploying ships, you can also set up to three mines in your playing field. To do this, click "Set mines". Mines are set in any free cell. The enemy will set in his field the same number of mines as you have.

After completing the deployment of the ships, click "Start game". If deployment does not violate the rules, the game will begin.


THE GAME

You and the enemy make turns. The first is the one who won in the previous game.

If your shot falls into an empty cell, the move goes to the enemy.

If you hit or destroyed an enemy ship, you make an extra turn.

If you hit a mine, the move goes to the opponent and he makes one additional move.

When the “Volley” game mode is on, you can make a salvo (make continuously three moves). To do this, click the "Volley" button located between the playing fields and select three targets.

The move transition to the enemy after a volley occurs depending on the hit of the last shot of the volley.

When the game mode “Volley” is on, the enemy also makes one volley per game.

The game is played until all enemy ships or yours are destroyed. The task of the game is to destroy all enemy ships in the least possible number of moves.


SAVING THE GAME

When the game interrupted or you exit it, the game is automatically saved. You can always return to the game and continue it. The game is saved until it ends.
