בניסיון נואש אחרון להציל את המין האנושי, אומות כדור הארץ להשיק ספינות טילים עם האנשים הטובים ביותר שלהם לכוכבים.

לאחר 150 שנה של נסיעה, המחשב של הספינה מעיר את הצוות ממצב תרדמה, כשהוא מתכנן להיכנס למסלול סביב עולם חדש ומוזר. יש תקשורת אחרונה מכדור הארץ הממתינה לכם: "אתם כל מה שנשאר מאיתנו, בהצלחה!"
